Sentinel R1 Highly Bombardir Made Rayrheon UK

The Raytheon Sentinel R1 is a highly modified Bombardier Global Express aircraft. It is used for battlefield
observations with the Royal Air Force’s airborne stand-off radar (ASTOR) system. The main radar for this
platform is a Raytheon Systems dual-mode Synthetic Aperture/Moving Target Indication (SAR/MTI) radar.
The UK’s Sentinel R1 had a successful first deployment over Afghanistan in 2008, providing imagery of a wide area of territory and operating in collaboration with air assets and ground forces. Raytheon delivered the last of five airframes to RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire on 10 February 2009.
